Nosebleed is caused by the crack of blood vessels in nasal cavity.
First Aid Treatment
- Sitting up with head elevated.
- Breathe with mouth, and pinch both sides of the nose (hold the nose for every ten minutes to stop the bleeding).
- Spit out the blood if any flows into mouth to avoid nausea or vomit caused by gulping the blood.
- Do not blow nose or dig out the blood clot within 4 hours after bleeding is stopped to avoid bleeding again.
In case one fails to stop the nosebleeds or it occurs again, keep calm and see a doctor as soon as possible.
