Governing areas summary：Jiji Township is located at 130.214 degrees east longitude and 23.833 degrees north latitude, east to Shueili Township, west to Mingjian Township and Jhushan Township, south to Lugu Township across Jhuoshuei River, north to Jhongliao Township; it is an internal township with a total area of 49.72 km2，lowest elevation of 230M，and highest of 1392M on Mt. Jiji，there are many mounts in the area with mounts around it in four sides；the largest river Jhuoshuei River lies in the south of the township, originating from Singao River Branch and Jhenyoulan River on Central Mountains, and running from east to west; and the second largest river Cingshuei River in the north has many small stream in the valleys and gather in Jhuoshuei River and flow west to the sea. Before the construction of Jiji Railway Extension, the main communication with outer areas had to depend on land rover or porter, with small capacity and inconvenience of transportation; the transportation with outer areas is significantly improved after the construction of Jiji Railway Extension, and push forward greatly the economic development in the villages along the railway. As Jiji Station was constructed in the central point of Jiji railway over 60 years ago with simple and classical appearance, it has become one of the oldest rail stations in the Province and the best site for sightseeing and photographing.
